Japanese roots. Contemporary floral design.
Floraphy is a London-based floral design studio specialising in weddings, events and artistic floral installations.
Founded by Rie, a Japanese floral designer with over 15 years of experience in Japan and the UK, Floraphy brings together the principles of Ikebana, contemporary design and the natural character of seasonal flowers.
Rather than simply filling a space with flowers, we consider movement, balance, form and negative space — allowing each stem to have a purpose and creating designs that feel effortless, expressive and connected to their surroundings.
Our work ranges from intimate weddings and refined table flowers to large-scale installations and spatial floral design. Each project is approached individually, responding to the architecture, atmosphere and story of the occasion.
We also grow a selection of our own seasonal flowers, giving our work an additional connection to nature and the changing seasons.
Natural, art-led and distinctly personal — Floraphy creates flowers with a quiet Japanese influence and a contemporary London perspective.

“Flowers are not simply decoration. They have movement, character and a story of their own.”
Raised in a family of florists in southern Japan, Rie developed a natural connection with flowers from an early age.
She has practised Ikebana for many years and is a qualified Sogetsu Ikebana instructor, as well as holding an Ikenobo certificate. This Japanese understanding of line, balance and space continues to influence her contemporary, natural approach to floral design.
After studying art and graphic design in the USA, Rie worked across different industries, including design and finance, before becoming involved in her family’s florist business in Japan. She later continued her floral career in London and has over 15 years of experience across weddings, events and installations.
Through Floraphy, Rie creates thoughtful, art-led floral designs shaped by the flowers, the space and the people within it.

“Flowers are a way of creating atmosphere, emotion and connection.”
Born and raised in Japan, Sachi brings a Japanese sensibility to floral design — an appreciation for balance, space, seasonality and the natural character of each flower.
Before moving to the UK, she spent 12 years at Takashimaya in Japan as a buyer and catalogue production director, developing a strong eye for design, fashion, detail and thoughtful presentation.
Inspired by the beauty of British gardens and landscapes, Sachi later turned her long-standing love of flowers into floral design. She also studies Sogetsu Ikebana, whose contemporary and expressive approach continues to influence her work.
Her designs are natural yet considered, combining Japanese aesthetics with a modern, art-led approach to create flowers that feel distinctive, personal and beautifully at home in their surroundings.
